TOUR HIGHLIGHTS

Etosha National Park: One of the largest safari parks in Africa, the saline desert, savannah and woodland landscapes make Etosha (meaning „great white place of dry water“) fascinatingly unique. A total of about 114 mammal species are found in the park, including several rare and endangered animals such as Black Rhino and Black-faced Impala.

Windhoek: This is the capital city of Namibia. Stroll along the charming streets of Namibia's capital, a harmonious blend of African and European cultures. The friendliness and vitality of the locals will surely captivate you!

Día 1: ARRIVAL WINDHOEK – WATERBERG (280 km – 2.45 hrs)

Arrive at Windhoek International Airport, meet and greet by the car rental transfer service for the transfer to the depot, where you will collect your rental vehicle. You will be informed about the rental vehicle and advised how to proceed on your departure day. Enjoy your first road trip through the Namibian landscape, heading to the Waterberg region. En-route you will pass through Windhoek and then Okahandja, the town of great significance to the Herero as it was the seat of Chief Samuel Maharero. Every year in August thousands of Hereros gather here for a pilgrimage to pay homage at the graves of their great chiefs. Once you arrive at the magnificent Waterberg Region, check-in to the lodge for your first night under Namibian skies.

Día 2: WATERBERG – ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK REGION (255 km – 2.45 hrs)

A spellbinding experience awaits you this morning. Enjoy your breakfast at the lodge and continue on your journey towards the Etosha National Park. En-route you will pass through Otjiwarongo, situated about 250km north of Windhoek on a slope amid undulating plains. There are many guest farms and lodges in the Otjiwarongo district and the Otjiwarongo Crocodile Ranch where crocodiles are bred, as well as the Cheetah Conservation Fund, an internationally-recognized organisation, are just a few sites worthy of a visit. Stop off in the small town of Otavi, situated beneath the Otavi Mountains before continuing on to Tsumeb, a gateway to the north. In the vicinity of Tsumeb, discover the myths and legends the locals tell about the nearby Lake Otjikoto. Once you reach the Etosha National Park Region, check in to your lodge for the next two nights. If you are eager to start exploring this unique African wilderness, travel the short distance to the Park Entrance and enter the famous Etosha National Park for an afternoon game drive. Finally, return to your lodge before the Park gates close and observe the sunset over the African landscape.

Día 3: ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK REGION

Rise and shine for another African morning and head out into the Etosha National Park for a morning safari. Measuring 22 270 sq km of saline desert, savannah and woodlands, this is one of the largest parks in Africa. Spend the day game-viewing from your rental vehicle or observing the game that comes to drink at the waterholes in front of the Resort camps. Enjoy a packed lunch which you can order from your lodge (not included.) Alternately join a Game Drive in the Park, in an open vehicle with experienced Guide (optional, not included.) If you choose to remain at or return earlier to the lodge, you could select from the many activities they offer.

Día 4: ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK REGION – WINDHOEK (580 km – 4.5 hrs)

Today, after your tasty breakfast at the lodge your safari returns again along the same route you travelled to Etosha. Once you arrive back in Windhoek, check in to your hotel for your last overnight in Namibia. Enjoy the rest of the day while exploring this exciting, unique and colourful city. Windhoek offers many interesting, historical and surprising sites, with a cultural mixture in a beautiful setting that makes it a paradise for photographers. Stroll down vibrant streets and try some of the local dishes at a local restaurant.

Día 5: DEPARTURE WINDHOEK

After breakfast, spend your time relaxing or enjoying some last-minute souvenir shopping before you transfer back to the Windhoek International Airport to return your rental vehicle and check-in for your return flight.
